This Privacy Policy describes how AK Leads LLC ("SafeU," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the SafeU mobile application (the "App"), the website safeuinsurance.com (the "Site"), and related services (collectively, the "Services").

SafeU is an insurance comparison and referral service. We are not an insurance company and we do not sell insurance policies. We help connect you with licensed insurance carriers, agencies, and agents ("Insurance Partners") who may provide you with quotes and offers.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

When you request insurance quotes or use our Services, we may collect:

• Contact information: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address or ZIP code.
• Quote request details: information you provide to receive insurance quotes, which may include date of birth, gender, marital status, homeownership status, vehicle information (make, model, year), driving history details, current insurance status, and property details.
• Communications: messages, inquiries, or feedback you send to us.

Information collected automatically

When you use the App or Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

• Device information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID), and mobile network information.
• Usage information: pages and screens viewed, features used, links clicked, session duration, and referring source or campaign.
• Approximate location: general location inferred from your IP address or the ZIP code you provide. The App does not collect precise GPS location.
• Cookies and similar technologies (on the Site): used for analytics, measurement, and advertising attribution.

App permissions

The App may request the following device permissions. You can manage these in your device settings at any time:

• Notifications: to send you updates about your quote requests, offers, and reminders. You may opt out at any time in your device settings.
• Storage: to save content such as documents or images to your device when you choose to do so.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Services, including matching you with Insurance Partners and facilitating quote requests;
• Share your quote request with Insurance Partners so they can contact you with quotes and offers;
• Communicate with you about your requests, our Services, and offers we believe may interest you;
• Send push notifications, where you have enabled them;
• Measure and improve the performance of our Services and advertising campaigns;
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. How We Share Your Information

This is important: SafeU is a referral and lead generation service. If you submit a quote request, we share — and in many cases sell — the information in your request to Insurance Partners and marketing partners so they can contact you with quotes and offers. By submitting a quote request, you direct us to share your information for this purpose. Insurance Partners who receive your information may contact you by phone, text message, or email, consistent with the consent you provide at the time of your request.

We may share information with:

• Insurance Partners: licensed insurance carriers, agencies, agents, and comparison services, so they can provide you with quotes and offers you requested.
• Marketing and advertising partners: networks and platforms that help us deliver, measure, and improve advertising, including attribution and analytics providers.
• Service providers: vendors that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, customer communications, and data verification, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• Legal and safety: where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 18 years of age.

4. Your Choices

• Marketing emails: you may unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email we send.
• Text messages: reply STOP to opt out of text messages from us.
• Push notifications: disable notifications for the App in your device settings.
• Advertising identifiers: you can reset or limit the use of your device's advertising identifier in your device settings (on Android, via Settings > Privacy > Ads).
• Contact from Insurance Partners: once your information has been shared with an Insurance Partner at your request, that partner's use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy. You may ask any partner directly to stop contacting you, and you may contact us for assistance.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and applicable legal requirements.

You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing us at privacy@safeuinsurance.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law. Please note that deletion requests apply to information held by SafeU; Insurance Partners who already received your information at your request are independent controllers of that data.

6. Your Privacy Rights (State Laws)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws in other states. These rights may include:

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell or share;
• The right to access and receive a copy of your personal information;
• The right to delete personal information we hold about you;
• The right to correct inaccurate personal information;
• The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

Notice for California residents: In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 1, and we have sold or shared identifiers, contact information, and quote request details to Insurance Partners and marketing partners as described in Section 3, for the business purposes described in Section 2.

To exercise any of these rights, including opting out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, email us at privacy@safeuinsurance.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request," or use the contact information below. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for individuals 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may contain links to websites and services operated by third parties, including Insurance Partners. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the updated policy on this page. Material changes may be communicated through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
